39th Scientific Instruments Symposium which was organised by Scientific Instrument Commission and hosted by Science Museum in London and Royal Museums Greenwich took place in the Zoom Webinar platform due to the pandemicon 14-18 September 2020. Member of our department Asst. Prof. Taha Yasin Arslan participated to the sympsoium with his presentation named "The Timekeeper's Dilemma: Standard Versus Sophisticated Instruments in the 13th-16th Century Islamic World and another member of our department R. A. Sena Aydın participated with her presentation named "Microscopy in the 19th Century Ottoman Science". The 40th of the series of the symposium will be organised in the city of Prague of the Czech Republic between 25th-31th July 2021
